Our journey began in 1956 when our founder, Chook Sun, started making high-quality casual walking shoes. Recognizing a growing demand for dance footwear, he immersed himself in the world of dance, attending classes to understand the intricate movements and unique needs of dancers. In 1994, he introduced Flash Dance, a line of expertly crafted custom dance shoes designed for optimal comfort, flexibility, and support. His passion for shoemaking and relentless pursuit of perfection set the foundation for what San Lee Shoes is today.

Following Chook Sun’s passing in 2020, his son, Raymond, took over the business, carrying forward his father’s legacy with the same dedication and expertise. With shoemaking deeply ingrained in his DNA, Raymond continues to innovate while preserving the time-honored craftsmanship that defines San Lee Shoes.

We specialize in custom-made Latin, ballroom, salsa, jazz, and tango shoes for both men and women. Beyond dance footwear, we craft wedding shoes, office shoes, dinner shoes, and bespoke designs for individuals with foot conditions such as bunions, differing foot lengths, leg discrepancies, and diabetes. Each pair is meticulously handcrafted based on individual measurements—considering width, length, ankle height, and Achilles tendon structure—to ensure a perfect fit and superior comfort
